Terms of use
Last updated October 2026
These terms cover your use of rescueload.com: the pages, the free tools, the templates and the forms. They are not the dispatch agreement. If you sign up for dispatch, you get that agreement after the call, and it governs the service.
Who we are
rescueload.com is run by RescueLoad. RescueLoad is a private dispatch service for carriers. We are not a shipper, freight carrier, broker, warehouse or tariff publisher, and we are not affiliated with NMFTA or any company named in our guides. More about the desk is on our about page.
Using the site
You may read, print and share our pages and use the tools for your own trucking business. Don't copy the site wholesale, scrape it at a rate that slows it down, try to break its security, or send forms with someone else's details. We may block traffic that does.
Guides are information, not advice
Our guides explain freight operations in plain language and cite their sources, such as the U.S. Code, the eCFR and FMCSA. They are general information. They are not legal, tax, insurance or financial advice, and the rules can change after the date shown on a page. How we research, label and date them is set out in our editorial policy. For a decision that matters, check the current rule and talk to a professional who knows your situation.
Templates are not legal advice
Claim letters, detention policies, bill of lading and invoice templates are starting points. Using one does not create a lawyer-client relationship, and it doesn't guarantee that a claim or charge will be paid. Edit each one to match your contract, your rate confirmation and the facts of your load.
Tools give estimates
- Freight class. Our density and class tools return an estimate. The class that applies to a shipment is set by the carrier's tariff and the governing classification, and a carrier can reweigh, re-measure and reclass freight.
- Calculators. Detention, cost per mile, fuel, payload, tax and every other calculator works only with the numbers you enter and the assumptions shown on the page. Results can be wrong if the inputs are, and they are not quotes or tax filings.
- Generators. A bill of lading or invoice made with our generator is only as accurate as what you type into it. Check it before you sign or send it.
No guarantees about loads, rates or payment
Nothing on this site promises a number of loads, a rate, an income, or that a broker, shipper or receiver will pay detention, layover, TONU, a lumper reimbursement or a claim. Examples on our pages are labeled EXAMPLE and are illustrations, not results.
Forms and contact
When you send a form, you confirm the details are yours and correct. How we use them is set out in our privacy policy.
Partner links
Some pages link to partners, and we may be paid when you use those links. Our disclosure page lists every one. A partner's own terms apply to anything you buy or sign with them.
Links to other sites
We link to government sources and other sites so you can check facts yourself. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.
Our content
The text, graphics, tools and code on this site belong to RescueLoad. You may embed our free graphics with the embed code we provide, which keeps a credit link. Trade names of other companies appear only to identify them and don't mean they endorse us.
Limits of liability
The site and tools are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, RescueLoad is not liable for losses that come from using or relying on the site, its tools or its templates. Some states don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
